North American British Music Studies Online Colloquium Series

The Board of NABMSA is proud to announce our inaugural Online Colloquium Series. Colloquia unite the scholarly community of British Music and its adjacent subjects and disciplines. We seek to provide a platform open dialogue on research and methodologies relevant to the study of British music. Colloquia are open to all wishing to attend, however we encourage joining NABMSA or making a donation to help continue this new initiative. Registration is required for all events.

 

The Spring 2023 Colloquium series will include:

2 March 2023: Paul Rodmell (University of Birmingham) will be speaking on “French Music in Britain, 1830-1914,” on Thursday, (10-11am PT, 11am-12 noon MT, 12-1pm CT, 1-2pm ET, and 6-7pm UK). Register here for 2 March Colloquium.

18 May 2023: Georgina Bartlett (University of Oxford) will be speaking on “Printing Performance and Performing Print: Theatre Music in British Broadside Ballads, 1797-1844.” (11-12 noon PT, 12 noon-1pm MT, 1-2pm CT, 2-3pm ET, and 7-8pm UK.) Register here for 18 May Colloquium.
